Last week, Konami released Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection exclusively on PlayStation 3. Within it, you’ll find a total of eight Metal Gear games spanning from the series’ origins in 1987 all the way through last year.
We’re not going to review the collection per se, but the good news is that we don’t really have to, either. We’ve reviewed most of the games in the compilation in the past, and this brief article is designed to point you in the direction of each of the games’ original reviews.
Simply click the links below to be brought to each review, and decide for yourself if the overall Legacy Collection is good enough to warrant a purchase.
- Metal Gear Solid - 9.8
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - 9.7*
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - 9.8*^
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - 10
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - 9.5*
- Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions - 7.1
* - These three games are the upgraded forms found in the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which you can find a review of here.
^ - Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 are bundled with Snake Eater. IGN did not review the MSX originals of either game.
