An all-black 3DS XL might finally be making its way to North America - at least in Canada. GoNintendo has uncovered a flyer from outlet Real Canadian Superstore that suggests the new color (for North America) will be on sale this Friday, July 26.
The all-black XL has been a part of Nintendo's various 3DS offerings for a while, but not outside of European bundles or Japan. A listing on Amazon UK also hints at a possible standalone release for this color. IGN has repeatedly asked Nintendo of America's COO Reggie Fils-Aime about future color configurations of 3DS hardware. Fils-Aime noted some 3DS colors simply don't sell well, while retail limitations in the United States prevent a similar constant color releases for the 3DS XL.
IGN has reached out to Nintendo of America for confirmation or comment, and will update this story if the publisher replies.
Rich has been asking for an all-black or all-white 3DS XL ever since the system was announced. Follow his reaction when Nintendo of America confirms or denies a United States release through his Twitter account @RichIGN.
