Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Starts Filming

Capcom has announced that live-action series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist has begun filming. It was announced at the Capcom Comic Con panel over the weekend, but principal photography started on July 14th.

The project first rose to prominence back in April as a kickstarter project from the people behind the Street Fighter: Legacy short film.

The press release promises the series will "redefine what audiences can expect from live-action video game adaptations". It will be based on a bi-lingual script by Joey Ansah and Christian Howard, and will feature a mixture of up-and-coming and veteran Japanese actors.

The series will be directed by Joey Ansah, who is well-known as Desh in The Bourne Ultimatum. He will also star in the show as Akuma.

If you want to know more about the project directly from Ansah, catch up with episode #138 of the IGN UK Podcast on which Joey guested.
