Comic-Con: Examining Hasbro's Star Wars Boba Fett - The Black Series Exclusive

Last night, I arrived home to find something awesome waiting for me. Well, I found a power outage that lasted for several hours waiting for me... But once the lights came back on, I was able to open the large box that had arrived during the day from Hasbro, containing several of the company's 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.

I'm currently in the midst of massive SDCC prep and haven't even been able to look over each of the items as much as I'd like yet. But one stood out that I wanted to share with you in a quick write up, which was the Star Wars The Black Series Boba Fett action figure.

If you haven’t heard, The Black Series is a new line of Star Wars figures built in a larger, 6-inch scale than the typical Star Wars toy. While Boba Fett will be part of the main line, the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive is unique because it includes Han Solo in Carbonite.

The other thing that stands out is the beautiful packaging the figure comes in. The nearly solid black box (you can make out Boba’s visor in the black on black image) opens up to display the figure and his accessories in a particularly cool way.

Both the Boba Fett figure itself and the Han Solo in Carbonite accessory look terrific.

I especially like the weapon descriptions that are included...

The Star Wars The Black Series Boba Fett with Han Solo in Carbonite will be available at San Diego Comic-Con at the Hasbro booth for $44.99. Suffice to say, if you want one, expect a line – these suckers are going to be popular! Following the convention, a limited number will be available on HasbroToyShop.com.
