41-Megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 Confirmed by Exec's Flickr Photos

Recently, Nokia started teasing its next smartphone with a slogan reading, "41 million reasons to zoom in." And despite some initial distractions over the actual name of the upcoming Windows Phone device, it appears the 41-megapixel smartphone is called the Lumia 1020. The evidence comes courtesy of pictures posted to Microsoft Windows Phone manager Joe Belfiore's Flickr account, as reported by The Verge.

Belfiore's Flickr account contains a couple pictures, posted around June 29, after he had apparently completed a marathon. But the information underneath the photo says the shots were taken with a Nokia Lumia 1020. Granted, the data displayed on a Flickr post can be changed, but it's unlikely a Microsoft executive would change the information his personal account to display an unannounced device.

Nokia will most likely announce the Lumia 1020 during a New York event on Thursday. The company's most recent handset was the Nokia Lumia 928.
